Batch Processing Multiple Documents

AdvancedJanuary 5, 2025

Process hundreds of documents efficiently with batch extraction and project organization.

Need to process dozens or hundreds of documents? Information Extractor's batch processing and project management features make it easy to handle large document collections efficiently.

Step 1: Create a Project

Projects are containers that help you organize related documents. Go to the Projects page and click 'Create Project'. Give it a meaningful name like 'Q4 2024 Invoices' or 'Client ABC Statements'. Projects are perfect for grouping monthly invoices, quarterly financial statements, or client-specific documents together.

Step 2: Upload Documents to Your Project

Once your project is created, it's time to add documents. Our bulk upload feature lets you upload multiple documents at once. Simply drag and drop your files into the upload area, or click to browse and select multiple files. All uploaded documents will be automatically added to your project, keeping everything organized.

Step 3: View Your Document Structure

After uploading, you can see all your documents organized within the project. The file structure view shows all documents clearly, making it easy to manage and track what's been uploaded. You can add documents to projects at any time - either during upload or by adding existing documents later.

Step 4: Choose Project in Prompt Studio

When you're ready to extract data, go to Prompt Studio and select your project from the dropdown. This allows you to apply the same extraction tool to all documents in the project with just one click. The system processes documents in parallel, dramatically reducing wait time compared to processing them individually.

Step 5: Review Bulk Generation Results

After extraction completes, you'll see results for all documents in one place. Use the left/right arrows at the top right to navigate through results for each document in your project - this makes it easy to review each extraction individually. Once you've confirmed the accuracy, export everything in a single CSV or Excel file. This makes it incredibly easy to analyze trends, import into accounting software, or perform further data processing. Batch processing transforms hours of manual data entry into minutes of automated extraction!
